Clearstep explores a simple idea: a small business should not need a complex project-management system to know what happens next.

What works today
- Create and edit tasks with owners, due dates, priorities, and source notes.
- Move work between Planned, In progress, and Done; search and filter the workspace.
- Turn one memo line into one editable draft using deterministic rules, not AI. Original lines remain attached as source notes.
- Use session-only mode, opt into browser storage, or export and import validated JSON backups.
What this is not
There is no login, cloud sync, live shared collaboration, notification delivery, billing, or production backend. Owner names are plain text, not user accounts. Five optional fictional sample tasks demonstrate the interface; they are not real customers, activity, or results.
Claude is a future idea, not a live feature
A planned integration would extract proposed tasks from supporting source text, preserve that evidence, and flag ambiguous owners or dates for review. It is not implemented or connected in this prototype. No AI runs, and no notes are sent to any AI provider.
Built around a smaller workflow
The workflow is intentionally limited: capture a request, keep its context, decide the next step, and mark it complete. Clearstep is an independent working concept, not affiliated with Atlassian, Jira, or Anthropic.
